Shamanic Hoop Drum Circle.
Shamanic Hoop Drumming Circles Guide.
Indigenous shamanic peoples of diverse cultures have gathered in community drumming circles for thousands of years. Although most of us did not grow up in an indigenous shamanic tradition, we can still tap into the healing power of shamanic drumming.
A shamanic drumming circle is a place for practitioners to get together for learning, healing, and the direct revelation of spiritual guidance. A drumming circle provides an opportunity to connect with your own spirit at a deeper level, and also to connect with a group of other like-minded people.
We base our Shamanic Hoop Drum Circle around the sweat lodge ceremony, which I have attended many times, using the handheld hoop drums.
It will start with a opening ceremony followed by the healing drum circle which will contain four rounds of drumming.
They will be healing for self, a prayer round for others, a let it out and let it in round and a thank you round.
The rounds will vary in beat's but all are easy to follow and guidance given.
We will then close the circle with ceremony.
No experience needed, just an open mind and heart.
And if you have not got your own hoop drum, dont worry, as we shall have some spare drums for you to use.
Doors open at 19-15 to meet ,greet, smudge and settle.
Then the front door will be locked at 19-30 for the ceremony and circle to start and those taking part not to be disturbed.
Suggested donation of between £5.00 and £10.00 depending on your circumstances.
Please note that these events are always drug and alcohol free.
